MOST CLINTON BACKERS SAY PALIN’S TOO FAR A STRETCH

by Associated Press
Saturday, September 6, 2008
Sandy Goodman was deeply disappointed when Hillary Rodham Clinton didn’t get the Democratic nomination, then again when she was bypassed for the VP spot. So Goodman, a longtime Florida Democrat, flirted with thoughts of shunning Barack Obama, and perhaps even voting Republican.

Then John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate, and suddenly things became clear to Goodman: The Republicans had no place for her.

“Boy, you are sure not talking to ME!” Goodman, 61, says she thought when she heard Palin’s views on issues like abortion rights. Now, Goodman is volunteering for Obama.

But then there’s Chrissie Peters. The 37-year-old librarian from Bristol, Tenn. has always voted Democratic and supported Clinton. She assumed she’d vote for Obama — until she saw Palin speak. Now she’s voting Republican.

McCain and Palin don't need "most" Hillary backers; just a small minority will tip the balance in a close race.

“I was insulted when she referred to Hillary and the 18 million cracks in the ceiling,” Goodman says, referring to Clinton’s line that her primary votes put that many cracks in the glass ceiling that has held women back. “I don’t believe Hillary was making those 18 million cracks for Sarah Palin.”

 No, she was making them for her own self-serving ambition to be president. No one else. Not even you, Miss Goodman.

Well if you go over to HillaryClintonforum.net you'll see that many DO support Sarah Palin. Using THEIR calculations (from hillaryclintonforum.net) they say she only needs 10% of the HillaryClinton vote, in a few key states, to make the jump to Palin, and then the old man wins the Presidency and Sarah Palin takes her place as heir-apparent to the most powerful position in the world.

I have stated elsewhere that I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Hillary supporters who votes for McCain-Palin will be Billy Jeff. He may never get in the sack with her (God forbid if he did!), but getting to look at her every day on the news would probably give him enough pleasure to last the rest of his life. OTOH, if she and McCain were to lose, he'd have to make trips up to the freezing cold of the Last Frontier to even see her in the newspaper.

Attention libeRAT wenches: your own party threw Hitlery under the proverbial bus. If you don't like Sarah, run Steinem, Sheehan, Streisand, Pelosi or some other ugly feminazi megabitch and see how many votes you'll get.

Women are demanding a place at the table and the Republicans are the only party offering it.

And what they really resent - when they perceived Hillary was a victim of sexism in the primaries, the Democratic Party did nothing. The mainstream media did nothing. Conversely they saw Republicans RUSHING to defend Sarah Palin in the face of sexism.

It leaves them wondering (outloud now) if the Republicans really are the party of equal rights.

 What these feminazis won't say out loud is that this isn't about women. It's about abortion. Actually, that has been true for decades, since about the time they began using "women's issues" as a euphemism for "the abortion issue". They're willing to set back women's progress in attempt to keep abortion legal.

Given that the title of this thread includes the word "stretch," I'm surprised Doc didn't mention Pelosi.I did, but she was an afterthought. You copied it too quickly. IAC, being the Speaker, she's more powerful than mere presidents. Hell, she's superior to God. Just ask her.

The RAT Party and the DBM were and are the sexists. They're the ones that dumped HRC, and they're the ones savaging Sarah with blatant sexist if not mysoginistic attacks.

Clinton Backers: Palin a "Stretch"

No, idiots. Nancy Pelosi is "Stretch." Sara is 'the Barracuda.'

Can these morons get anything straight?

Seriously. I love the way liberals - otherwise hysterically atheist, gender-neutered ... Oh, pardon me; I mean, gender-neutre, of course - multiculturalist, invoke religion when it suits their purposes, and diss (black) women when they are not liberal.

You can't make hypocrisy like that up.
