This was so unexpected. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last night. Please pray for oracle and his family to have the strength to get through this difficult time. We love you oracle.

My prayers and thoughts are with you, old buddy. I know this is a real tough time for you, having lost my Dad two years ago. Please know that your friends here at FC are always here if you need a shoulder to lean on.

I have a few more details. oracle was sitting with her last night as he had been every night. She had had trouble getting to sleep so she took a sleeping pill. About 1:45AM he noticed her breathing changed. Shortly afterwards he saw that she wasn't breathing at all. He woke up his Father, called 911 and started CPR. They arrived 15 minutes later and also worked on her to no avail. God wanted her with him. I'm glad he let her stay on Earth to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary and combination family reunion. She is not suffering anymore. She has been through so much lately. God rest her soul. His Father is taking it very hard and needs our prayers too.

That is almost eerie. I am glad that she is no longer suffering. It does seem like God called her home, but not before a final good-bye. The Lord does work in mysterious ways.
However, it must be devastating for Oracle and his Dad. In my prayers for certain. This is a very rough time for them and they will need all of our prayers.

Psalm 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
God be with you and yours in this time of sorrow. Remember that in Him, there is no, "Goodbye," but only, "See you later!"
Beyond the sunset
Oh blissful morning
When with our Savior
Heaven is begun
Earth's toiling ended
Oh glorious dawning
Beyond the sunset
When day is done
In that fair homeland
We'll know no parting
Beyond the sunset
For ever more

Oracle, I know how you're feeling. In times like this, I wish there was something I could say to just make all the pain go away. I am thinkin' of you and you Dad, and I am hoping that if you need someone to talk to, you won't hesitate to contact me anytime, day or night. That's what friends are for. Take care of yourself now. Your Dad needs you, and so do we. Hugs and kisses to you!

May His Countenance be turned towards you, His face shine down upon you, His love be extended towards you. May your mother rest dearly in His arms...at peace, all the struggles gone, every hurt accounted for and all the crooked lines made straight.
And may the Lord bless you and your family. He is the Paraclete, the One who comes along side of you and cares for you. God bless.

I am sorry for your loss, oracle, and you and your family remain in my prayers.
I lost my mother in 1999, just seven weeks shy of their 50th. My father had a heart attack the day of her funeral, and never was himself again. He joined her last year. I pray that your father can accept his loss, and will continue to find meaning in life.

It doesn't matter how young or old you are losing a parent or child is one of the toughest things any of us can face. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that you can see her again someday, and all the pains of this world will be gone. We will keep you in our prayers.

oracle's Mom was suffering so and had been for some time. I remember when I lost both my parents I took great comfort in knowing that they were no longer suffering. My Mom once told me that there were worse things than death. She was in so much pain. I didn't understand what she meant at the time. Now I do. It's so hard not being able to get your breath. It makes you tired all the time. What is so unique to me is that God let oracle's Mom live to enjoy her 50th wedding anniversary, a family reunion and oracle being able to be there for her. Not everyone gets that opportunity. She must be very special in God's eyes. I know she is in mine. She raised one hell of a great son. 4 of them actually.

The same with my grandparents, Warlady. It was hard to let them go but I wanted their suffering to end. I loved them more than to see them suffering so. My Papa died from emphysema and Granny from Alzheimer's.
I think it is very special that oracle's Mom got to see everyone and had her anniversary too! I know oracle is also glad she is no longer suffering, and I just wish I could make oracle's pain go away. I miss him already, and am praying for and thinking of him and his Dad everyday. http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif

I am so sad for you, my friend. You have to believe that everything happens for a reason and she is in Heaven with our Savior. She wouldn't want you to be sad for her. She is forever with you.

Even though I have been where you are, the words to express what you are going through is tremendously hard. Just remember the great times, and remember your mom is no longer in pain. I am sure you know she is in a better place! oracle, my heart goes out to you and your dad. Bless you both!
