I talked with Jeff (or as you know him DoomRabbit). He is going to be out of town for the next 3 weeks climbing around a refinery and doing what ever the heck it is he does.

He said that he might be on over the weekends if he gets the opportunity to fly home and has nothing else to do.

Yeah if you consider smelling like heavy liquid hydrocarbons and other products of combustion, standing on an 80' stack in the middle of the night when it is 30F or lower trying to figure out why the plant electrician doesn't know how the hell to hook up a simple electrical circut thus causing a brand new monitor to not work, and then having to wait around for 4 hours for the Lead Engineer to report for work at 8:00AM and explain to him that his laborer doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground a perk then I guess you could say that.

Next week I get to do it again. I'm going to bed now.

And for those of you that really care as to my brother in law is now unregistered you can either email him at McDannyman@hotmail.com or PM me and I will explain it. Long story short is he doesn't have as much patience with certain topics and actions as I do and doesn't take kindly to being insulted on his religious beliefs no matter how indirectly.

What happens when you put $300,000 (@ 15% commission) worth of new monitors and software in a refinery and couple that with them not buying the installation processes we proposed for $10,000 and plant personnel that got their degrees by mail order? You get me spending 3 weeks climbing around and fixing the problems at $150/hour plus travel expenses. In other words, it costs them $15,000 ($25,000 total @ 25% commission) more than if they had just paid me to do it in the first place /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

And then I get my boss yelling at me because my client was stupid.
