View Full Version : TIME TO VOTE FOR DECEMBER POSTER OF THE MONTH

Hard to believe but my reign as Poster of the Month is drawing to a close and it is time to vote for a new FREE CONSERVATIVES Poster of the Month! The rules are simple. Vote once for the person whom you think has earned the honor of Poster of the Month. We prefer you vote for someone based on the content, style and timeliness of posts as opposed to just being a popularity contest, but, what you do is ultimately up to you. You can explain your vote, or not, depending on whatever you want to do. The last six months' winners are not eligible. They are:

Seeker of Truth(June 2003)
oracle (July 2003)
Rink (August 2003)
Estragon (September 2003)
ThomasIsUnderrated (October 2003)
DoctorDoom (November 2003)[/list]

The winner gets his/her user name on the front page as Poster of the Month, a pat on the back, a hearty handshake and the warm glow of victory! You also get to put the following incredibly cool banner in your signature line.

http://freeconservatives.com/pics/members/suzie/pom.gif

So have at it Freecers! Who will be the next Poster of the Month? Polls close Tuesday at 7 pm Central Time.

I too must cast my vote for the Brilliant One this month and am glad to see I'm in good company. BL's political commentary has been extremely well written and captured to the fullest all the essential details and inescapable conclusions of the most relevant issues. My only criticism is that I'd like to see more of it. A definite asset to this forum.

Caligirl. She's done a superb job in keeping "FC's Other Forum" jumping. Nice job, Cali. Keep up the good work!

Caligirl has been doing it all this month - posting topics, participating in discussions, posting useful links and info in threads across the board. I'll second GWTW!

Honorable mentions to:

brilliantLiberal - for his insightful and thoughtful commentary

Wyatt Junker - his wry and dry wit has always been there, but this month he's also brought forth some strong logical arguments, phrased with his trademark metaphorical prose, of course

Timberwolf - found himself in the unpopular position of opposing Bush on Medicare drugs, and defended his position vigorously and steadfastly.

Congratulations and thanks to all! Your contributions are greatly appreciated!

I will go with Brilliant Liberal, as his postings have been very thought provoking and very interesting.

My vote this month will go the same as my vote last month, and for the same reasons: Paul Revere.

Hmmm....

Seeing that I have barely been around at all this month (website work, maybe a new client among other things taking up my time), I really have not had not read many posts this month. I think my vote this time around will go more towards someone who is overdue for the award and for consistent diligent service to FC.

I think in this case, that should go to CaliGirl.

Although, BrillLib comes in a very close second, as he is a damn good writer and has the balls to call a Dem a Dem, especially when they are acting like Dems.

BTW, I promise to be on more this month. I have really fallen off the planet the last several weeks with news and current events, along with this board. To give you an example of that, I have yet to see the video of Bush coming out from behind the curtain to surprise the troops on Turkey Day. Egads.

I vote for brilliantLiberal ...

Dash Riprock.

Wyatt_Junker
12-02-2003, 10:21 AM
I'm gonna throw down for Dash too.

He reads like an old tyme negro spiritual and makes MLK sound merely like the teenager phase *the pimples and acne, the balls dropping, the voice cracking* of black cultural change. Whereas Riprockian prose can give 'em some very needed chest hair. MLK reads like a pretty pink diary in a girl's nightstand drawer. The kind of jouvenalia that you don't want anybody else to read cause its too pure and unformed. OTOH, Dash reads like hardened Twain. Prison literature. The kind of shit you'd want to read as a POW. Stuff that steels you. Toughens you. Makes you a man & not a boy.

Dash, I give you full permission to use this small review here on the jacket of your first book.

That's because your fly was open. tsk-tsk.

BTW, did anybody ever find out if Chad had a boy or a girl? He was pregnant, you know. Or did he just birth another illegitimate Democrat bastard, sex indeterminable and irrelevant, sired by Al Gore?
