Reflecting the better year on Main Street, Wall Street soared up 25% for the Dow, 49.5% for the Nasdaq. Predictions are that next year will be a solid year economically, but what about '05? Anyway of knowing? Probably not.
I'm guessing interest rates will creep up, but inflation will stay tame, and hiring will increase. Also, the deficits will be reduced from increased economic activity, and only fears of terrorism will damper a great 2004.
But look, don't go wild and put everything in the stock market. Continue to look for solid companies selling at very reasonable prices. Long run, that's the ticket.
Have a great new year, everyone.
