Military diet fools the body into beating jet lag

SCIENTISTS believe they have finally come up with a way to avoid jet lag.
They believe that a strict regime of feasting and fasting in the days before a flight can fool the body into thinking it is in a new time zone before take-off. This ensures that passengers are able to rest on the journey and are wide awake on arrival.
The jet-lag diet started life as a secret military project carried out by American government scientists trying to devise a way to allow soldiers to operate anywhere in the world without feeling tired.
But they also found the diet helped reduce the symptoms of jet lag.
