My mother is dying. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nono.gif
Due to her very weak heart, the kidney and liver are no longer functioning normally. Unless a major miracle occurs soon she could be dead within the next two weeks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shake.gif
I can use all the prayers and good wishes from everyone on FC right now.

Yes, it is hard on me, because I just talked with her cardiologist and he isn't very sanguine about her chances, either. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif
Mind you, I am glad all our family's estate finances are in order and we've already pre-paid the funeral arrangements.
Thank you, everyone here, for your friendship and guidance in this time of need.

I have some very sad news to report.
My mother died at 1:52 pm today from congestive heart failure.
She has raised two fine sons and will be deeply missed, even though I knew that this day was coming soon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shake.gif
I want to thank you everyone here on FreeConservatives for your great support and prayers in this time of need. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif

Our support is only human. There is One whose support is infinitely greater than ours. He has a big shoulder to cry on and loving arms to embrace you and your family in your time of sorrow.
Trust in Him always, and He'll bring you through this trial. And when it passes, you'll be stronger, more hopeful and closer to Him than ever before. With Christ there is no "Good bye." There is only, "See you later!"
Beyond the sunset
Oh blissful morning
When with our Savior
Heaven is begun
Earth's toiling ended
Oh glorious dawning
Beyond the sunset
When day is done
May God bless you and be with you!

Ray,
I am so very sorry to hear about your dear mother! She is in a better place, out of pain. My heart goes out to your brother and you!

Cherish the joy in your memories; peace through your faith; and love felt in your heart from people near and far.
.... the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord....the words of Job...
and blessed be the tie that bound you in life & connects you through eternity.
(((Ray))) across the miles..
Time will heal some of the pain and sadness!
Ray,
May God bless you, as he is with your mother now. My condolences to you and your brother.

Ray, I hope God holds and keeps you through this difficult time. Your Mother is no longer suffering and is at peace now. Try to find some small comfort in that.

I want to thank you everyone here on FreeConservatives for being so amazingly supporting and offering prayers in this tough time for our family. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worshippy.gif
Anyway, a couple of spooky things happened since her passing:
1. I looked up her notebook that kept her daily medical record log (blood pressure, pulse rate, blood oxygen level, blood sugar level, insulin shots taken, weight, and pills taken) and it was literally down to the last page of that notebook the day she entered the hospital for the last time. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-038.gif
2. Last night, at the insistance of a friend, we lighted a candle in the house in remembrance of my late mother. Alas, at 0300 hours this morning the smoke detector alarm went off, exactly 24 hours after my late mother asked my brother who was watching her in the hospital room to get a Christian cross for her to hold, a sign that she had accepted the fact her life was soon to come to an end. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-038.gif
I'm not superstitious, but this is just bizzare, to say the least. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
In lieu of flowers, I'd like to suggest people here donate money to the Bush/Cheney '04 campaign or the Republican National Committee in remembrance of my mother, who has see the face of tyrrany first hand (the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong and the Cultural Revolution in China in nearby China in the 1960's) and lived to tell about it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/votebush.gif

The Sacramento Bee has posted the obituary of my mother, which was (mostly) written by me. You can read it HERE (http://www.legacy.com/SacBee/LegacySubPage2.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonId=2096258 ).
She will be definitely missed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Crying.gif

By the way, my brother recently converted from 8 mm movies to DVD old home movies of my mom going on dates with my real father back around 1951. She rode a Vespa scooter back then and was obviously a hit with the boys (mostly because back then Vespas were almost as rare a dodo birds in Hong Kong! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ). I'll have to find out if that scooter still is around (I saw it the last time I was in Hong Kong).
Heres some links to Vespa Scooters
