Applaud Israel: Time running out on Iran

An Israeli deputy prime minister on Friday warned that Iran would face attack if it pursues what he said was its nuclear weapons programme.
"If Iran continues its nuclear weapons programme, we will attack it," said Shaul Mofaz, who is also transportation minister.

"Other options are disappearing. The sanctions are not effective. There will be no alternative but to attack Iran in order to stop the Iranian nuclear programme," Mofaz told the Yediot Aharonot daily.

He stressed such an operation could only be conducted with US support.

When the Iraq war was waged oil was trading at $25. a barrell. Now its $135.

Attack Iran and you will see oil trading in the $250- $300 range.

How does $10- $15 dollars for a gallon of gas sound to you?

And why do you think it will require an attack on Iran to do that? It's headed there now. And the US can do nothing because the assholes in Congress have made it impossible to exploit our own abundant supplies of oil.

Okay, I'm confuzzled. What does Al Gore have to do with Iran?
Any way, the USA should back Israel 100% on this. Screw talking with mindless sand monkeys, let's wipe them out.

If it looks like the Democrats are going to prevail in November, that 5-month window of opportunity might be the last one Israel sees in a long time (if ever).

The price of oil was already skyrocketing when the Iraq invasion began, trading around $50/barrel at the time, and the price increases actually slowed a bit after the invasion. The price of oil actually went down after the first Gulf War, so it's a bit disingenious to blame the high prices on the invasion.
