Supreme Court Guts McCain-Feingold
http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cf...eme1.21.10.htm
Quote:
In a remarkably powerful way the U.S. Supreme Court has struck a huge and far reaching blow in support of the First Amendment, overturning significant aspects of previous "campaign finance reform" legislation, declaring it unconstitutional.
The 5-4 Decision written by justice Kennedy struck down a key provision in McCain Feingold, the onerous legislation passed during GW Bush's first term, which many on the right considered unconstitutional at the time as well as the 1990 Austin decision.

Reckon we ought to take up a collection and buy a case of aspirin? Send it on up to Washington?
Maybe some sea sick pills.
I will guarandamntee you, there ain't a Democrat inside the Beltway who's got all four wheels on the ground today.
Before Rush went off the air, FU Chucky Schumer had already called for a Senate Hearing into this Supreme Court decision.
Can you grasp the enormity of the stupidity of a Senate Hearing into a decision handed down by the Supreme Court?

No, I can't. I simply cannot conceive of that brobdingnagian level of stupidity. It escapes my grasp. It wriggles free of my embrace, squirts out of my hands and across the floor into the grating and on out into the living earth, pulsating with horrendous, monstrous, unimaginable stupidity.

Pretty great week.
Score one for the Founders. Freedom of Speech wins, despite Senator McCain.

McCain's supporters still don't understand why he's widely considered a RINO. No way I was voting for him...lesser of 2 evils be damned. How much coverage has this gotten on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC? Jay Leno will probably give it more coverage depth than they will.

It was a straight ideological vote with "swing man" Kennedy siding with the conservatives.

And in Kennedy's opinion, he cited his agreement with Souter on the core issue of the decision. That is certainly a bit of surprise.
Maybe with "Wise Latina" there, he is swinging a bit himself. That would only be for the country's and Constitution's benefit.

The United States Constitution guarantees We The People freedom of speech (1st Amendment); political speech, hate speech, angels are good speech - doesn't matter - Freedom of Speech irrespective of someone's opinion of that speech.
The rich corporations, the wellfair crack mamas with nine kids by eleven dads - all have a voice that can not and should not be silenced.
The SCOTUS made the right call for once - let's all applaud that because it doesn't happen very often lately.
