The engineer next door to my office told me about this about 15 minutes ago. Finally, Air America is going away.

In all honesty, I thought Air America went defunct three or four years ago. I really did. There was some scandal about AA funding, or something, and I thought it put AA out of business.
Oh, well.
Better late than never.

Notice that AA went out of business during BHO's "difficult economic environment," not the GWB "depression."
Then again, if it's the ideas that count, AA should be riding high with a Pelosi House of Representatives, a Reid Senate and an Obama White House. Guess not.

Air America was the left's one and only hope to mainstream the left's message of Fairness, Tolerance and Wholesale Perversion of Traditional American Values.
It failed miserably because it wasn't Fair, it wasn't Tolerant and Americans don't like our Traditional Values being Perverted.
The miracle isn't that it was given millions in tax payer money and failed, but that it was ever allowed to pollute our public airwaves in the first place!
Air America needs to quietly slither away underneath some putrid rock before justice can erect the gallows required to dispense justice and hang the clueless, treasonous imbeciles that propped it up in the first place.
Air America should NEVER have been allowed to exist, receive tax payer funding, and pimp their anti-American liberal wacked-out agenda!

I would have thought the "difficult economic environment" would have benefited Air America, with listeners tuning in 24/7 to listen to hosts bitch about how Bush and the Republicans had destroyed the economy.

Given some of the ridiculous screed that Air America Radio was spewing (pun intended!), I'm not surprised it finally went off the air. AAR was on KCTC (1320 AM) for a couple of years in Sacramento, CA, but Entercom (the company owning the station) was losing WAY too much money on progressive talk radio and in February 2007 switched to syndicating ESPN Radio, which has actually made money for the station.

One does feel sorry for Air America's listeners across the world. The one in Michigan turned out to use it as a training course for foreigners in American swearing, and the two in California used it as the background sound for the porn flicks they make in their garage. The one in New York is rumored to have leapt from the Empire State Building, masturbating all the way down, in protest. And the platoon of AA supporters in a Berlin Supermax still want a visit from Janeane Garofalo.
